Thomas Young

Contract experience
Thomas is experienced in a wide range of standard and bespoke contracts.
General experience
Thomas has experience in both domestic and international disputes, and specialises in the resolution of construction and engineering disputes through the courts, arbitration, adjudication and all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Thomas has acted for employers, contractors and designers and has a particular expertise in multi-party litigation. He has recently acted on a number of high-value, multi-party disputes in the Technology and Construction Court.
Career
Thomas graduated from Otago University, New Zealand, in 1999 with a degree in Law and a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. After being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in New Zealand in May 2000 he practised property and commercial law. Following relocation to the UK Thomas has been admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has worked with Shadbolt & Co LLP specialising in construction law. He joined Fenwick Elliott in September 2006, becoming an associate in April 2009.

Thomas is a member of the Society of Construction Law and the International Pacific Bar Association.
